I became inspired by ecology while receiving my B.S. in Environmental Science at SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York. My interest was cultivated during the following years as I worked a number of research technician jobs that included trapping small mammals, catching lizards, and observing plants. After spending the summer of 2011 working on the North Slope of Alaska, I knew that I wanted to do my graduate work on terrestrial Arctic ecosystems. I am excited to be working with Heidi Steltzer and Matt Wallenstein. My thesis will focus on understanding plant responses to changes in seasonality, and how these changes affect Arctic herbivores. I can???¢??t wait to explore Fort Collins and am thinking about getting a puppy to keep me company at CSU.
