Hi, I'm an incoming MS student from Oregon. I'll be assisting Alan Knapp with his Extreme Drought in the Grasslands Experiment, where we hope to tease out what makes various grassland ecosystems more sensitive to drought than others. I received my Bachelors in Biology from Colgate University and have since been working with the USDA Forest Service. I first served as a botanist on Mt Hood, then on Mount St. Helens as part of a team studying ecosystem recovery processes after the 1980 eruption. Over the past year I was also a member of several research projects in Chile with the USDA Forest Service, WHOI and Stanford University."
